How many laps do the kids have to run?

Each child can walk, run, skip or dance through as many laps as they want! Some children make it through many laps, others do 1-2 and then cheer on their peers. 

Does my child need to raise money in order to participate?

No, every student experiences our Fun Run, regardless of financial participation.

How long does the Fun Run last?

The Fun Run will take place during the school day. Two grades will participate at a time, for 30 minutes of fun! 

What happens if the weather is poor on the day of the Fun Run?

If it is raining on the day of the Fun Run, we will do it on November 6th.

Do you need volunteers?
Yes! We would love to have parents volunteer to help cheer on the kids and keep them on the course.

How do the children raise money?

Each child will have the option to create an online profile with a parent or guardians help. This online profile will create a unique link they can share with friends and family, who can pledge support for their run. 

How will the success of this event be gauged beyond funds raised? 

This is a joint effort between the PTF, Administration, and Blanchard Staff. Engaging students in teamwork and camaraderie is key to the event's success.

Why is the Fun Run being held during school? 

By having the program during the school day, all students can participate regardless of financial participation and/or reasons outside of their control. Since more students are able to participate, more students get excited about the program than they might with a Saturday run they know they won’t be able to attend. Each grade’s run will last only 20 minutes, so students are expected to be in class the  majority of the day. We invite all parents who are interested in cheering on your student to join us on Fun Run day!
